How Orbitr works.
Your friends, your space.

No big company in the middle. Every Orbit lives on a server run by a real person: you, or a friend. Join with an invite link, or start your own in a few minutes.

Two ways to get started

Pick your path. Both take just a few minutes.

Host your own server

Download Orbitr Server and run it. Setup is super simple: a step-by-step wizard walks you through everything, no command line and no config files. Most people are live in a few minutes.

Join a friend's server

Someone already hosting? Ask them for an invite link. Download Orbitr, click the link, and you are in. Your identity is created right in the app, no email and no sign-up required.

Why it matters

Because nobody is in the middle

There is no company between you and your friends, so nobody can read your messages, sell your data, or lock you out. Your identity is a file you keep on your device, not an account someone else controls. If a server goes away, your identity goes with you: join another, start your own, or take a break.

Ready?

Download Orbitr, create your identity right in the app, and pick your path above.
